Additional troubleshooting

  • Students using LockDown Browser for an exam should ensure they have the most updated version of the Respondus Lockdown browser. If the software is out of date, you will be prompted to update your Lockdown Browser prior to accessing your Canvas quiz item.
  • If the quiz item won’t load, please clear all cookies and cache from your web browser. Clearing your browser’s cookies and cache will require you to log back in to Canvas once done.
  • Do not attempt to use the Canvas Student App to launch and take your quiz / exam item configured to use the Respondus Lockdown Browser. We recommend you use your devices actual web browser to ensure Respondus Lockdown Browser launches successfully.
