FALL 2018 COURSES HAVE BEEN CREATED IN CANVAS

We invite you to post your syllabus and publish your Fall 2018 course site in Canvas. Below are some tips and useful information on preparing your Canvas site.

TIPS FOR FALL 2018

  • Canvas Syllabi will be available to students via Yale Course Search. To ensure that your syllabus is included in Yale Course Search, you must post your syllabus within your Canvas course site’s “Syllabus” tool and you must publish your course site. Syllabi posted in published courses will appear in the system within 2 hours.
  • Reuse your previous Canvas course sites and/or migrated Classes*v2 course content. Check out our help article on how to copy course content from your previous Canvas courses and/or migrated Classes*v2 site into your Fall 2018 site.
  • Use our Checklist to make sure you are on track for Fall 2018. Check out our Beginning of Term Checklist for ideas and strategies to get your fall course site prepared.
  • Request your Umbrella Sites through our umbrella site request form. If you need an umbrella site for your course (What is an umbrella site?), complete ourumbrella site request form.
  • Get face-to-face support with our Workshops & Drop-In Hours and One-on-One Consultations. Check out our Canvas event schedule  (updated events coming soon!) to register for one of our upcoming workshops or find our drop-in hour dates. If you can’t make it to one of our planned events, you can request a one-on-one consultation. We are here to help!

Reminder about the v2*Vault (formerly Classes*v2):

You will continue to have access to the v2*Vault as a reference until May 2019. Please refer to our help documentation if you would like to create an archive of your v2 materials.
