Dear Colleagues,
Spring 2020 Courses have been created in Canvas.
We invite you to visit your course site:
- Post your syllabus in your course site’s “Syllabus” tool
- Publish your course site.
After you complete the two steps above, your course syllabus will become available to students in Yale Course Search within 2 hours.
Canvas Updates
Canvas has a new method for hiding/posting grades to your course site’s Grades area. The new method, called the “Grade Posting Policy,” can bet set at the course level (as default setting for all new assignments) but you can also set the policy at individual assignment (column) level for those assignments that need different settings.
The grade posting policy provides two options:
- Automatic Policy - grades are posted immediately to students as you enter their grades in the Grades area.
- Manual Policy - grades are hidden from students until you click the “Post Grades” button for your assignment column.
Check out our help guides for more information about the grade posting policy and how to set it up in your course site.
